In the past couple of years, there have been reports of WWE Superstars being subject to robbery during their stay at hotels while hitting the road for the company. Last year, The Phenomenal AJ Styles had a bag full of $1,000 American currency, $7,000 Japanese Yen, iPhone, a pair of Betas headphones, a small screen TV, an Xbox 360 and six video games stolen from the Convocation Center while Naomi had to deal with car break-ins. Recently, a WWE power couple was subject to theft in a supposedly secure hotel room and the news has created stir inside the WWE.
WWE Superstars Rusev and Lana, residents of Nashville, TN, were staying at a hotel in Memphis for this week’s SmackDown Live. Although the location is just three-hours away from their home, the power couple arrived a bit early and got way more than they bargained for.
According to The Bulgarian Brute, their hotel room was robbed during a cleaning. In the process, Lana lost her camera and Rusev had his money stolen from his wallet. Although there is not much information as of this writing, the fact that a camera is involved among the list of “lost” items is quite nerve-wracking.
Thank you @sheratonhotels Memphis for “cleaning” the room and stealing my wife camera and my money from my wallet
