With Hell in a Cell now in the rearview mirror, WWE turned their focus to Survivor Series and the men’s qualifying matches got underway on Raw. The first man to qualify for this year’s show was former WWE Champion AJ Styles who wrestled Jeff Hardy.
With Jordan Omogbehin in his corner, Styles already had a distinct advantage, not to mention the fact that Styles had the night off at Hell in a Cell and Hardy wrestled Elias.
It was The Phenomenal One who came out on top following a Phenomenal Forearm before two more stars qualified for the match later in the night.
Keith Lee was the second man to qualify for the Survivor Series team when he was in the right place at the right time in the feud between Jeff Hardy and Elias.
Hardy’s music hit and caused a distraction so that Lee could hit the Spirit Bomb on Elias to qualify for the men’s Survivor Series team for the first time.
The final qualifying match of the night saw Sheamus take on Matt Riddle and the two men put on a fantastic show but it was The Irish star who was able to come out on top.
Riddle put up a good fight but he was unable to kick out of The Brogue Kick, which secured the former World Champion’s place on the Survivor Series Men’s Team.
