WWE Raw: Becky Lynch Relinquishes Raw Women’s Title After Revealing Pregnancy, Asuka Is The New Champion

Becky Lynch kicked off this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in a somber mood as she announced that the stakes had been raised in last night’s Money in the Bank ladder match in order to hand Asuka the RAW Women’s Championship.

An emotional Lynch then welcomed The Empress of Tomorrow who made her way to the ring to take the Championship and allowed Lynch to then finish her announcement where she stated that Asuka could now be the Champion because she was going to go be a mother.

Lynch is engaged to former WWE Champion Seth Rollins and the couple has been pushing to get married over the past few weeks but the COVID-19 outbreak has put their plans on the backburner. The pregnancy means that Lynch is unable to wrestle for the next year or so while she waits to become a mother for the first time.

Becky was later shown backstage where she was greeted by Rey Mysterio, Natalya, R-Truth, Ricochet, The Street Profits, Cedric Alexander, Kairi Sane and Liv Morgan, who were all congratulating her on her fantastic news.

It’s interesting to note that Lynch wasn’t able to embrace with her boyfriend since he’s currently a heel on WWE TV as The Monday Night Messiah, so he couldn’t celebrate the news that he would be welcoming a new disciple before the end of the year.

Lynch has been the RAW Women’s Champion for more than a year since the former Champion was able to defeat Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35. Rousey then left WWE in order to go on an “impregnation vacation” where she remains on the sidelines.

This news comes while Lynch is at the top of her game as an actress, wrestler, icon and now she joins the likes of Mickie James, Maryse, Lacey Evans and Tamina and who are active wrestlers and mothers.
