Braun Strowman hasn’t had a great few months in WWE, since The Monster Among Men hasn’t had a one-on-one match on Raw since October.
After missing out on the Elimination Chamber match, Strowman confronted Shane McMahon this week and was able to negotiate a match against Bobby Lashley where if he won, he would be added to the WWE Championship match between Lashley and The Miz next week on Raw.
The show kicked off with MVP revealing that The Miz made a deal with Lashley to offer him the first shot at the Championship if he helped him to cash in his Money in the Bank contract.
The Miz tried to get out of a potential match with Lashley by going to Adam Pearce, but Shane McMahon made it official before announcing that Strowman could be added with a win in the main event.
It was a short main event match that lasted less than 10 minutes and saw Bobby Lashley kick out of Strowman’s Running Powerslam before pinning Strowman following a spear.
Lashley then locked in The Hurt Lock on Strowman to send a message to Miz, who was on commentary, but he ran into the ring and Lashley then took out Miz as well.
Bobby Lashley will now challenge The Miz for the WWE Championship in a one-on-one match next week on Monday Night Raw.
