AJ Styles and The Undertaker have had an interesting back and forth over the past few weeks and are currently on a collision course heading towards WrestleMania next weekend. The main story behind their feud is the fact that AJ Styles believes that The Deadman has lost his mystique and he blames both his wife Michelle McCool and the fact that The Undertaker now has Social Media.
In an attempt to force him to bring back the “Deadman of yesteryear,” Styles laid down an interesting challenge this week on RAW when he stated that he would force The Undertaker to bring back his old facade and he would do it by facing The Deadman in a match in his own back yard.
Styles challenged the former World Champion to a “BoneYard match” which essentially means that WWE has their first match that will take place at an undisclosed location. A few days ago it was revealed that while much of WrestleMania would be presented from the WWE Performance Center, there would be a few matches that would take place from other locations, but all would be closed set locations.
Earlier in the night, there were some interesting matches announced for WrestleMania, one of which will see Angel Garza and Andrade gain a shot at the Raw Tag Team Championships as they take on The Street Profits. This means that the United States Championship match that was expected to take place between Rey Mysterio and Andrade has now been scrapped and the United States Championship will not be defended.
Aleister Black taking on Bobby Lashley was also another head-scratching decision from WWE as they continue to stack the card for next weekend’s show. Black and Lashley haven’t yet crossed paths, so this could be just another way of ensuring more of WWE’s main roster are able to be part of the show. WWE could add many more matches to the card in the coming days since there are now two nights of entertainment to make up.
