WWE Raw: Christian and Big Show Returns

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw promised so much, given the drama that unfolded at Backlash, but it appears that the most surprising parts of the show were the returns of two WWE legends.

Edge suffered a tricep tear that required surgery in his loss to Randy Orton in the “Greatest Wrestling Match” which has left him on the sidelines.

This obviously wasn’t part of WWE’s original plan, which could be why Christian was called in and confronted The Viper in the show opener. The Legend Killer went on to challenge the former World Champion to “One more match” as an unsanctioned match, but Christian is yet to answer the challenge.

Captain Charisma was later seen backstage where he was on the phone seemingly talking to Edge about the risks of making a return to the ring. It appeared that Christian was going to agree to the match.

The reason Orton chose an Unsanctioned match was that if Christian suffers any kind of injury in the match then WWE isn’t liable for it. This puts Christian in a tough position.

Last night at Backlash, The Street Profits and Viking Raiders were attacked by Akira Tozawa and his ninjas, which led to a match between the stars this week on Raw. The Street Profits and Raiders were able to easily pick up the win by pining the smaller ninjas before the 7ft 3in ninja stepped forward.

Montez Ford obviously had a plan and The Big Show‘s music hit. The World’s Largest Athlete cleared house but the giant ninja was able to get away and head up the ramp in the commotion. It’s unknown why Big Show made a cameo appearance but it will be interesting to see if he returns again to face off with Monday Night Raw’s newest giant.
