The Raw After WrestleMania has a certain reputation to keep and even though the show was pre-recorded, there were a number of surprises that could only have come the night after WWE’s biggest show of the year. Bianca Belair became the first call-up to the main roster earlier tonight and interestingly it was Nia Jax who made her return to the ring after more than a year on the sidelines.
The former RAW Women’s Champion was forced onto the sidelines following last year’s WrestleMania when it was revealed that she needed surgery on both of her ACL’s and her rehab has taken much longer than expected since many fans believed that Jax would be back at the Royal Rumble.
Jax took on Deonna Purrazzo in a highly competitive match that showed that Jax is back and ready to compete, so much so that she debuted her own version of the RamPaige which has been more famously used by former Champion Paige. The British star revealed on Twitter that she had given Jax permission to use the move since Paige isn’t any closer to making her return to WWE after announcing her retirement a few years ago due to a neck injury.
Paige is currently embroiled in a feud with Bayley over on SmackDown, but it isn’t expected to lead to a physical confrontation between the two women. Nia Jax, on the other hand, could be Becky Lynch’s next challenger since the former Champion has a history with Lynch after being the woman who inspired The Man character when she “broke” Lynch’s face in the build-up to Survivor Series back in 2018.
The Raw Women’s Champion has since been embroiled in feuds of her own but now Lynch and Jax could finally cross paths once again and settle the score.
