Legends Night was a somewhat underwhelming episode of Monday Night Raw to kick off the year since several legends were once again reduced to backstage segments.
Ric Flair managed to play his part in the Women’s Tag Team match, while Mark Henry and The Big Show had interesting segments with Randy Orton, but overall many stars just made cameos.
It wasn’t until the main event of the show that it was made clear why the company decided to present Legends Night since Drew McIntyre was able to retain his WWE Championship in his match against Keith Lee, only to be confronted by Goldberg.
The former Universal Champion made it clear that he wanted one thing from The Scottish star and that was a WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble.
McIntyre told him that it would be like wrestling his dad before laughing in his face.
Goldberg then knocked McIntyre to the ground as Raw went off the air, which means that the challenge was not officially accepted.
It was believed that Goldberg would be looking to go after Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but it appears that the former Champion wants to challenge for the WWE Championship before crossing The Tribal Chief one more time.
