The Street Profits were drafted to Friday Night SmackDown as part of the first round of night two of the WWE draft. This meant that the Raw Tag Team Champions would have to become the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, but those belts were held by Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
As part of a backstage segment on Raw, Woods and Kingston who won the Championships just moments before they were drafted to Raw on Friday night, were joined by The Street Profits.
WWE producer Adam Pearce told both sets of Champions that it would have to be a straight forward exchange of Championships following their drafts.
This was easy enough for the two teams to do and Woods and Kingston officially became The Raw Tag Team Champions while The Street Profits took on the SmackDown belts.
Kingston and Woods also stepped into a feud with Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler, which meant that they stepped into where Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins left.
