Lacey Evans has been embroiled in a storyline with Ric Flair over the past few weeks and was set to challenge Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship this weekend at Elimination Chamber.
This week on Raw, Evans dropped the bombshell that she couldn’t tag into the match against Charlotte and Asuka because she was pregnant before Ric Flair claimed to be the father.
According to a report by WrestlingInc, Lacey Evans is indeed pregnant in real life which left the company with little option but to pull The Sassy Southern Belle from the match.
As of writing, Evans is still scheduled to face Asuka at Elimination Chamber, but of course, the former NXT star won’t be able to compete given this bombshell.
It’s obvious that this will now become a storyline on WWE TV and will allow Charlotte and her father to continue to feud while Evans remains out of the ring, but it’s unclear who will replace Lacey Evans at Elimination Chamber.
Peyton Royce is the only obvious choice at present since she has been part of the feud between Asuka and Evans in recent weeks, but WWE is yet to officially announce her replacement if the match still goes ahead.
