R-Truth lost the 24/7 Championship to Akira Tozawa last week on Raw after he was attacked by Bobby Lashley and locked in his Full Nelson finisher.
This week on Raw, Truth was inevitably able to reclaim his Championship for a shocking 37th time since the two men had a match for the title. R-Truth was able to roll the former Cruiserweight Champion up and walk away with the title that he has now become synonymous with.
The current United States Champion Apollo Crews was in action this week against MVP this week on Raw. Crews refused to join MVP after the star asked him if he required his services last week on Raw, which obviously didn’t sit too well with The Playmaker.
MVP and Crews went one-on-one this week and obviously The Almighty was at ringside and helped his mentor pick up the victory. This win means that the former United States Champion could be granted a match for the title in a few week’s time at Extreme Rules: Horror Show.
It’s also worth noting that this victory is MVP’s first on Monday Night Raw since March 2010, which means MVP has waited more than a decade for this win.
MVP cheated to pick up the victory which didn’t sit well with Crews. After attacking MVP, he was locked into the Full Nelson until Cedric Alexander and Ricochet were forced to make the save.
Lashley went on to face Ricochet one on one and dominated the former Champion to an easy victory.
