Champion vs Champion: Asuka vs Bayley

RAW Women’s Champion Asuka will collide with SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley in an intense “champion vs champion” match tonight on RAW.

Reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions Bayley and Sasha Banks have had the entire women’s division on lock for the past few months.

This past Wednesday, Asuka cost Banks her NXT Women’s Title Match against Io Shirai with a green mist attack during the Great American Bash, thus setting up a feud with the self-proclaimed Role Models who promised to make The Empress pay for her actions.

Last week on RAW, Banks pinned Asuka in a Mixed Tag Team Match, sending a message to The Empress ahead of their title showdown at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.

On Twitter, the WWE Universe made it pretty clear who they believe is going to emerge victorious in tonight’s main event. With more than 50,000 votes already registered, Asuka stands as the favorite with 69% of the votes while underdog Bayley only has a staggering 32% of the total fan support.

However, the SmackDown Women’s Champion has The Boss in her corner and that itself speaks volumes! As reported earlier, Kairi Sane has been removed from Raw graphics amidst rumors of her early retirement and it’s unknown whether she would make an appearance tonight.

Rey Mysterio Returns in a Tag Match

WWE has announced an hour ago that Rey Mysterio is medically cleared to compete in the ring and has put him in a tag team match against Seth Rollins and Murphy. Aleister Black will be Rey’s partner tonight.

As per the latest rumors, Mysterio is working Raw without a contract, as his current contract has expired. It’s unknown as to what role will he play in the long run.

6-Man Tag Team Match

WWE has also announced a 6-Man Tag Team Match only hours before the show. The Big Show teams up with The Viking Raiders to take on the heel team of Angel Garza, Andrade, and Randy Orton.

Dolph Ziggler is also announced for tonight’s Raw, and the Showoff is expected to choose the stipulation for the WWE Championship match against Drew McIntyre at WWE Extreme Rules: The Horror Show.
