WWE Raw Preview, Jun 22: Asuka Defends Against Charlotte, Street Profits vs Viking Raiders

WWE has booked a special Championship Monday edition of RAW for fans this week.

RAW Women’s Championship | Asuka (c) vs Charlotte Flair

In recent weeks, Charlotte Flair has scored two back-to-back victories over RAW Women’s Champion Asuka in singles action. The Queen did lose the NXT Women’s Title at TakeOver: In Your House, but that hasn’t halted her momentum on the red brand. As such, Asuka could be on the verge of getting dethroned the next time she steps in the ring with Flair.

Can The Empress retain her title tonight? Or will The Queen cement her legacy as a record 12-time Women’s Champion?

RAW Tag Team Championship | Street Profits (c) vs Viking Raiders

The Street Profits and Viking Raiders have gone head-to-head in basketball, axe throwing, golf, bowling and decathlon contests in recent weeks and even fought off a group of motorcycle ninjas last Monday. Both teams have gone back and forth and the score is now tied.

Tonight, the Profits and Raiders will settle the score in the ring as Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins defend the RAW Tag Team Titles against Erik and Ivar.

Women’s Tag Team Championship | Bayley & Sasha Banks (c) vs The IIconics

Fresh off a successful title defense on NXT, reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Bayley will be putting the titles on the line against The IIconics.

Can Peyton Royce & Billie Kay dethrone Banks and Bayley for the second time tonight? Or will The Boss and the Role Model score a third successful title defense in eight days?

24/7 Championship | R-Truth (c) vs. Akira Tozawa (w/ Ninjas)

Akira Tozawa and his ninjas have set their sights on the 24/7 Championship and it won’t be long before the former Cruiserweight Champion gets his hands on the hot title.

Can R-Truth retain and escape the wrath of Tozawa’s ninjas tonight?

Rey Mysterio returns

Tonight, Rey Mysterio will return on RAW for the first time since getting injured by Seth Rollins. Dominick was able to avenge his father last week when he blindsided The Monday Night Messiah but can Mr. 619 defend his ground when he returns to the red brand?

16-time World Champion and 2-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair will be present at the Performance Center to announce Randy Orton as the greatest wrestler ever.
