WWE Raw Preview Tonight, August 3: United States Championship and Raw Women’s Title to Be Defended

Drew McIntyre Addresses Randy Orton’s RKO

Last week, Drew McIntyre battled Dolph Ziggler in singles action and scored yet another victory over The Show Off. The main event showdown was officially over but not quite so as Randy Orton planted the WWE Champion with an RKO outta nowhere.

Tonight on RAW, McIntyre will be back to address Orton’s actions from last Monday. Both men will lock horns for the WWE Title at SummerSlam and it will be interesting to see what words the King Of Claymore County has for The Legend Killer en route to The Biggest Party of Summer.

RAW Women’s Championship | Sasha Banks (c) vs. Asuka

Sasha Banks defeated Asuka to win her fifth RAW Women’s Championship in an intense Extreme Rules title rematch last week. The finish saw Asuka running to the rescue of Kairi Sane who was being assaulted by Bayley backstage which led to The Empress losing the title via count-out.

This week, Asuka will be out for payback after the heinous attack on her best friend who is now gone from WWE. The Empress didn’t suffer a clean pinfall loss which makes it all the more interesting to see whether The Boss can retain the title in proper fashion tonight on RAW.

United States Championship | MVP (c) vs. Apollo Crews (c)

At Extreme Rules, Apollo Crews failed to defend the United States Title after failing his pre-match physical. This led to MVP being crowned the new champion.

Tonight, Crews will return to wrestle MVP for the purpose of determining the real United States Champion. The veteran Mr. 305 has been flaunting a custom title belt ever since July 13, and now that Crews is back with the official title, it remains to be seen which strap comes out on top in tonight’s title showdown.
