Now that Survivor Series is in the rear-view mirror, the focus on Monday Night Raw turned to WWE Champion Drew McIntyre’s challenger heading into TLC.
While there were several men who shone at Survivor Series and helped Team Raw to the victory, Adam Pearce was given the tough job of deciding who should step up to the Champion.
After Braun Strowman put his hands on Pearce in the opening segment, he was sent home and the WWE producer noted that if it was down to him he would be fired.
It was then announced that there would be three matches on tonight’s episode of Raw and the winners would then face off in a triple threat match to decide the challenger next week.
The first person to qualify for the match was Riddle, who was able to roll Sheamus up following a submission attempt with The Cloverleaf.
Keith Lee was interestingly able to come out on top in his match against Bobby Lashley after it was made clear that Lashley couldn’t use the Hurt Lock and MVP attacked Lee to award him the DQ victory.
The final match of the night saw AJ Styles take on former Champion Randy Orton in the main event. The two men put on a fantastic show until The Fiend decided to pick up his feud with Orton. After two distractions, Styles was able to hit the Phenomenal Forearm for the victory.
