Seth Rollins was scheduled to face Montez Ford this week on Raw, a match that went ahead and saw The Monday Night Messiah walk out victorious. Of course, this wasn’t the end of his night since Kevin Owens decided to step into a match with Randy Orton even though his issues with Rollins were far from over.

Rollins and Murphy defend their Championships against Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins this Thursday at Super ShowDown, but despite this, Rollins still decided to come out and interfere in the main event match between Orton and Owens.

Even though Rollins’ interference didn’t sway the match too much, it was the referee that seemed as though he ended the match early from what looked like a fast count. All eyes were on the official who then went on to take Owens’ steel chair that he had taken for protection and it was made clear that the official had some kind of motive.

When Owen dragged him into the ring and removed his shirt, it was revealed that he was wearing a Monday Night Messiah shirt underneath and was a disciple of Rollins. Despite the former Universal Champion claiming that he had nothing to do with the official costing Owens the match and then taking away his equalizer at the end, it was clear that he did, so Owens gave the official a Stunner for his troubles while Rollins watched from the ramp.

The feud between Owens and Rollins has been going on for a number of weeks now and while it’s included Murphy, AOP, The Viking Raiders and The Street Profits, it was becoming a little bit stale in recent weeks. On this week’s episode of Raw, it was nice that there was a new injection of life, which could allow it to continue much further heading into Elimination Chamber.
