Seth Rollins‘ days of peace are over as he will defend the WWE Universal Championship against AJ Styles on May 19th at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Triple H set up two Triple Threat title matches to determine the #1 Contender for Rollins’ Universal Title.
The first match saw Styles emerge victorious over Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe. Baron Corbin won the second match against Drew McIntyre and The Miz.
The Phenomenal One finally defeated The Lone Wolf in the main event to get a shot at The Beastslayer’s gold at the upcoming PPV.
The Rollins vs. Styles dream match is a huge draw for WWE given both men are among the company’s list of top babyfaces.
Vince McMahon doesn’t appear to be slowing down on AJ anytime soon as the 2-time WWE Champion is now in the Universal Title picture just one week after he got drafted to RAW as part of this year’s Superstar Shake-Up.
With this year’s Money In The Bank winner reportedly in for a huge push and Rollins currently speculated to retain the title at the event, it would be interesting to see how WWE books Styles down the line, shall P1 fail to capture the gold on May 19.
