The Viking Raiders successfully defended the RAW Tag Team Titles against Street Profits this past Monday on RAW. However, WWE didn’t book any opponents for Erik and Ivar that night despite TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs being just around the corner.
On the latest edition of WWE Backstage, it was announced that the RAW Tag Team Championship will be defended at the pay-per-view this Sunday. No opponents were announced as The Raiders will be issuing yet another open challenge.
Let’s see which tag team steps up to the challenge at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The latest rumors suggest that Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins could be getting a rematch on Sunday night if WWE wants the titles to change hands on the show.
WrestleMania season officially kicks off next month with the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, as the WWE Universe prepares itself for the new year.
Last month, betting odds revealed CM Punk as the second favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match in Texas. While fans are almost certain of Punk’s in-ring return at the Big 4 PPV, it remains to be seen whether the ex-Superstar wants to hit the ropes ever again.
Brad Shepard reports that WWE’s Road To WrestleMania “wishlist” consists of Punk’s name which is quite surprising, to begin with.
Punk is currently under contract with FOX and not WWE. However, his status could soon change if Vince McMahon decides to bring the ex-WWE Champion back in the ring ahead of WrestleMania.
