Riddle and Bobby Lashley have been part of a lengthy feud for the United States Championship over the past few weeks, but Riddle was unable to win the title from The Almighty last week on Raw.
Despite the loss, Riddle has remained in the Championship picture, but the return of Keith Lee has allowed WWE to shake things up ahead of Elimination Chamber.
This week on Raw, Riddle faced off against the returning Limitless One in a singles match that didn’t have anything riding on it until Lashley made his way to the ring.
Lee was able to pick up the win over Riddle and as the two men embraced following what was one of the matches of the night, Lashley invaded and attacked both men.
This then led to the announcement that the CEO of The Hurt Business will be forced to defend his United States Championship against both men in a triple threat match at Elimination Chamber next weekend.
This could be Riddle’s best shot at lifting his first Championship on the main roster since Lashley doesn’t have to be pinned in order to lose his title.
It will be interesting to see if MVP is at ringside for the match and utilizes the no-disqualification aspect of the match.
