Charlotte Flair and Asuka lost their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at Royal Rumble last weekend after Lacey Evans and Ric Flair interfered in the match against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
The Empress and Charlotte Flair then failed to earn a rematch the following night on Raw, but it appears that Asuka could have been handed a chance for revenge.
After The Sassy Southern Belle was able to pick up the victory over Charlotte Flair this week on Raw after The Queen snapped and got herself disqualified, Evans earned herself a shot at the RAW Women’s Championship.
It was announced following the match that her Championship match will take place at Elimination Chamber next weekend.
Asuka has held the Raw Women’s Championship for almost a year since Becky Lynch handed over the Championship when she was forced onto maternity leave back in May last year.
The Empress has since defended her title against all on-comers, but the Raw Women’s Championship has taken a back seat in recent months since Asuka hasn’t been the focus of the Women’s Division.
It will be interesting to see if Ric Flair is able to help Evans to pick up the biggest win of her career next weekend at Elimination Chamber.
