The path to WWE Evolution definitely hasn’t been a smooth one when it comes to returning superstars since there are many women who are not expected to be part of the show this weekend.

Former Women’s Champion Gail Kim has already expressed her desire to stay away from the show on Twitter since she departed from WWE a number of years ago and has since pointed out that she will never be returning.

Another face that the WWE Universe hoped would reappear at Evolution was former Divas Champion AJ Lee.

Many fans hold Lee responsible for starting the Women’s Revolution all those years ago but much like Gail Kim, it appears that Lee won’t be part of Evolution because of the issues between her husband (CM Punk) and WWE.

WrestlingNews.Co recently reported that WWE had reached out to former Women’s Champion Sable about an appearance as part of the show. WWE wanted the Playboy CoverGirl to be part of the show in some format and even offered her a ring announcing or commentary position if she didn’t want to wrestle.

Sadly, the company and the former star were unable to reach an agreement to allow the wife of Brock Lesnar to make her long overdue return, which means that even though her husband remains one of WWE’s biggest draws, Sable refuses to be by his side.

Lesnar has been back in WWE full time for the past six years and Sable hasn’t made an appearance in WWE the entire time that her husband has been there or even spotted at ringside, which is why many fans were already of the impression that Sable wouldn’t be called back to the company as part of the show.
