WWE and FOX released a brand new trailer for Smackdown. The trailer features several WWE superstars such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, Becky Lynch, Ric Flair, The Rock apart from celebrities such as Gordon Ramsay and Snoop Dogg.
FOX also revealed a brand new logo for SmackDown Live, which is a throwback to the bygone era. The logo has a retro feel to it and could be an indication of WWE bringing back the golden era of SmackDown Live(The Giant Fist?).
The hype around Smackdown’s impending move is unreal, and the fans can’t wait to see this unfold.
WWE organized a tag-team turmoil match this week on RAW to determine Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman‘s next challengers for the RAW Tag Team Championships. In a very surprising move, the makeshift team of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode won the match, eliminating Heavy Machinery in the end.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul Heyman was responsible for the match and the eventual result. Paul Heyman is known to have a thing or two for Gauntlet Matches and was credited with the Gauntlet Match which took place earlier this month on RAW.
The WON reports that Heyman wants to make Roode a bigger deal in the WWE, and this could be a start of that push. Roode has won the Tag-Team titles before, during his partnership with Chad Gable last December, and held the gold for two months.
Robert Roode f.k.a Bobby Roode was hyped for great things in WWE, considering the fact that he was a solid promo and could produce decent encounters. However, his WWE run hasn’t set the world on fire. He had a great run in NXT but the same hasn’t translated to the main roster.
Hopefully, with some backing from Paul Heyman, Robert Roode receives decent booking and isn’t relegated to the lower card of the show.
