The recent #SpeakingOut movement implicated several major names in wrestling, especially those from the UK wrestling scene, including NXT UK stars.
NXT UK performers Ligero and Travis Banks were exposed in this movement, and the company has subsequently released them from the roster.
Natalie Skyes mentioned Ligero and accused him of sexual harassment. The masked star denied these allegations and said he was discussing possible moves with his lawyer.
PWInsider now reports that Ligero’s contract has been terminated by WWE. His profile has been taken down from the WWE roster page, while his Twitter hasn’t been active for a while.
Travis Banks was accused by Mille Mckenzie of taking advantage of her when she was just 17. Mckenzie was a trainee of Banks at Fight Club:Pro and Banks confirmed that they were in a consensual relationship while she was underage. Banks apologized for his actions, but WWE has reportedly made their decision.
John Pollock of POST Wrestling has confirmed that Banks will be on his way out, joining Ligero and Jack Gallagher in the series of terminations due to #SpeakingOut movement.
WWE has several other stars like Brock Lesnar, Matt Riddle, and The Velveteen Dream, who were named during this movement. It remains to be seen if the company takes any action against these individuals as well.
