There has been talk all week of Shawn Michaels making an active return to WWE and wrestling The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia.
But “one more match” for HBK could turn into a full-blown schedule if WWE has their way since it is now being reported by Joe Peisich said on a special news edition of the Barnburner Fired Up podcast that WWE has huge plans for The Heartbreak Kid that could include him wrestling up to five matches in the near future.
“I have heard there are ideas for him to wrestle up to five matches but not with The Undertaker. one with The Undertaker, one with AJ Styles, one with somebody in NXT most likely Johnny Gargano, and now I have heard from a source that there is talk of him facing off against Kevin Owens,” he said via RingsideNews.
Michaels and Undertaker heavily hinted that there could be a match between them on the horizon since The Deadman lashed out at the fact that Michaels hadn’t wrestled in eight years because he was afraid earlier this week.
It hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it’s thought that Shawn Michaels will be the special guest referee in the match between Triple H and The Undertaker at Super Show-Down in Australia since local advertising has already revealed that he will have a role in the match.
It will be interesting to see where this leads and how Michaels will then fare against some of the best wrestlers in WWE today, if HBK does make his return to the ring then it’s obvious that WWE will take full advantage and set up some of the biggest fantasy matches for him.
