French professional woman’s wrestler Amale Winchester has announced that she has signed with WWE.
Amale is the first French female professional wrestler who was signed by the WWE. According to her Twitter announcement, she was signed to NXT UK.
Given as NXT UK has not been running live events due to the pandemic, it’s unsure when if ever we will see Amale in action.
Amale, who comes from Beziers in southern France, has been wrestling since 2012. She has previously wrestled in NXT UK but is mostly known for being the women’s champion at the German wrestling promotion wXw.
She won the wXw Women’s Championship back in June 2019, a title she currently holds and has held for 440 days since then. She won the title in a fatal four-way that included NXT UK star Toni Storm, who previously held the title, and Killer Kelly and Valkyrie.
Her last match was a defense of the wXw Women’s Championship in March. She successfully defended against Stephanie Maze during a wXw 16 Carat Gold 2020 show that was held in Oberhausen in Germany.
