It was revealed a few days ago that Alexa Bliss would be making her return to WWE as part of Starrcade this coming weekend when she teams with Nikki Cross as part of a fatal four-way match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Bliss has been missing for the past few months after asking for a hiatus from WWE to heal from some niggling injuries, but she returned to action on tonight’s episode of SmackDown when Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville targetted Nikki Cross following her victory over Deville.

Bliss made her return and helped even the numbers game by taking out both Deville and Rose. This is the first time Bliss has appeared on SmackDown since she was drafted over during the 2019 WWE Draft. Bliss was last seen at Hell in a Cell when she and Cross lost the Women’s Tag Team Championships to The Kabuki Warriors.

Bliss wasn’t the only star who made a return to WWE screens this week since Elias made his shock return as part of a backstage segment this week on SmackDown. Dana Brooke was attempting to fan away Drake Maverick‘s attempts to move their relationship forward when Elias was spotted backstage with his guitar in hand.

Elias picked up where he left off before his ankle injury and sang about returning to WWE in time for the holiday season while calling Maverick a creep, which means that Elias will probably be in a match against Maverick next Friday night.

Elias was last seen on WWE TV ahead of Clash of Champions when it was revealed that he had been pulled from his match against Chad Gable because of the ankle injury. Elias was replaced in the King of the Ring tournament by Shane McMahon but Gable was still able to get past “The Best in the World” enroute to the finals of the tournament.
