Royal Rumble is just over three weeks away and already the main event matches are taking shape. While Nia Jax and Charlotte from Monday Night RAW are the only women already announced for the Women’s Royal Rumble, Bayley and Bianca Belair doubled the field this week on SmackDown.
After weeks of issues, Belair and Bayley announced their entry into the match as part of a backstage segment where Belair noted that she eliminated eight women as part of last year’s match.
Bayley wasn’t part of the Women’s Royal Rumble match last year since she was holding the SmackDown Women’s Championship and later went on to successfully defend it at WrestleMania.
There may only be four women announced for the 30-woman match at present, but they are four of WWE’s hottest stars on the main roster and have already set precedence.
The men’s Royal Rumble has just three men officially announced with Daniel Bryan from SmackDown and AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley, and Randy Orton recently announcing their entries on Raw.
More and more names are expected to announce their places as the pay-per-view gets closer with some spots left for the surprise entries who will become clear on the night.
