Seth Rollins and Murphy have been interlocked for the best part of the years and finally, tonight on SmackDown their story came to an end.
Rollins and Murphy have been friends and bitter enemies with the latter taking over recently which is why it was decided that the two men would settle their differences tonight on SmackDown.
Murphy cost Rollins his match against Rey Mysterio last week which led to Rollins demanding this match since it has been heavily rumored that this will be The Messiah’s final appearance on SmackDown for a number of months.
Rumors suggest that Rollins could be set to leave WWE following Survivor Series since his partner and fellow WWE star Becky Lynch is set to give birth to their first child in the coming weeks and the company has granted him some time away.
Interestingly, Murphy was able to come out on top in this feud and pin his one-time mentor before he celebrated with the Mysterio family.
The story between Murphy and Aalyah is far from over, but since Rollins isn’t expected to be back until 2021, for now, it appears that WWE has drawn a line under the issues between Murphy and Rollins.
