It’s been several months since Brawn Strowman was suspended by Adam Pearce on Monday Night Raw after the Monster Among Men attacked the WWE Official.
It was noted at the time that Strowman was suffering from a knee injury and he was then written out of the TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view.
It was believed that The Monster Among Men would make his return inside the Royal Rumble match this Sunday, but instead, despite being a Monday Night Raw superstar, Strowman made his return on SmackDown.
Strowman wasn’t the only Raw star to invade the blue brand this week since AJ Styles, Sheamus, The Miz, and John Morrison were all featured on the show and were made part of the 10-man tag team main event.
Sheamus was able to pick up the win for his team before The Miz and Morrison instigated a brawl, which was then settled by The Monster Among Men, who cleaned house and made it clear that it was every man for himself this weekend.
It’s interesting that WWE has brought Strowman back now instead of having him as a surprise at the Rumble, but Adam Pearce had the night off this week on SmackDown and since he was the man who suspended Strowman, it makes perfect sense.
