Braun Strowman lost the Wyatt Swamp Fight back at Extreme Rules and hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since. After Bray Wyatt was unable to overcome the threat of Strowman, The Fiend stepped in and looked to get his attention when he attacked Alexa Bliss last week.
Bliss and Strowman are known to be good friends both inside and outside of the ring and even teamed together as part of the Mixed Match Challenge a few years ago. Bliss was the form that Sister Abigail chose to use against Strowman in the Wyatt Swamp Fight a few weeks ago so The Fiend knew exactly how to expose this weakness.
This week on SmackDown, The Fiend made his entrance and was about to attack Bliss once more when the former Women’s Champion was able to stop him herself and Strowman appeared on the titantron.
Strowman cut a promo where he told The Fiend that he didn’t care about Alexa before making it clear that he was ready for him at SummerSlam.
This is the first time Strowman has been seen since his loss at Extreme Rules and the Universal Champion looked worse for wear. Obviously, the last few weeks haven’t been kind to Strowman, whose current whereabouts are still unknown.
It is also currently unknown what this latest twist in this deeply personal storyline means for Alexa Bliss who still remains in the clutches of The Fiend.
Little Miss Bliss didn’t seem as though she was being kept with The Fiend against her will this week on SmackDown, but like many other stars before him, it seems that Strowman’s run-in with Bray Wyatt’s alter-ego has forced The Monster Among Men to have a change of character and he’s now turned into the heel that he always should have been.
