WWE SmackDown: Daniel Bryan Becomes the First Entrant for Royal Rumble 2021

Daniel Bryan has held a number of Championships in WWE, has main evented WrestleMania, and even won the Money in the Bank contract, but the former World Champion has never won the annual Royal Rumble match.

Following his victory over Jey Uso this week on SmackDown, Bryan celebrated Christmas Day in style by announcing himself as the first entrant in the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble match.

This is interesting since Bryan was expected to face Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble since the two men have had their own fair share of issues in recent weeks.

Reigns look to have put Kevin Owens behind him following his victory inside a steel cage, while Bryan was able to get the better of Jey Uso, but this doesn’t necessarily mean their feud has come to an end.

Next year’s Royal Rumble match is one that is quite hard to predict given the recent issues with ratings in WWE and the fact that the company is looking for shock value.

Bryan also recently announced that he was looking to switch to a part-time WWE contract in the near future, so this could be his final chance to win the Royal Rumble and main event WrestleMania.
