Over the past few months, WWE has built up the return of Jeff Hardy, and Sheamus hasn’t been too thrilled that the former World Champion has been stealing his spotlight. Finally, the legend made his return to the blue brand this week, and as expected The Irish star was waiting for him.
Sheamus dished out a few home truths regarding Hardy’s career when he talked about how the WWE Universe were no longer interested in The Charismatic Enigma after his string of violations and releases. Sheamus didn’t turn up unprepared to fight and tried to back up his words with a surprise attack, of course, Hardy was prepared and sent Sheamus back where he came from.
It was an interesting return for the popular star and it’s been made apparent that Hardy and Sheamus will now step into a feud regarding The Rainbow Haired Warrior’s career in the coming weeks.
Earlier in the show, WWE decided to kick off the show with the grudge match between Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. The two former best friends have had their issues over the past few weeks and finally came to blows this week.
Deville was looking to take the looks away from her friend in the hopes that she could then take from her what Rose has been taking from her best friend for the past five years. Deville delivered most of the abuse throughout the match before Rose managed to turn it around, but it was Deville with a quick roll-up that sealed her win.
The Miz and Morrison also picked up a confidence-boosting win in an eight-man tag team match which paired them with The Forgotten Sons against Lucha House Party and The New Day ahead of their fatal-four-way Championship match this weekend at Money in the Bank.
