Survivor Series is now just three weeks away and the build up towards WWE’s penultimate show of the year has already begun.
While many of the stars for the Raw Survivor Series teams were decided earlier in the week, SmackDown followed suit and promoted two qualifying matches.
Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens were the first men to step up and hope to qualify for the men’s SmackDown Survivor Series team. Robert Roode was on hand to try to help Ziggler but was sent to the locker room by the referee.
This left Ziggler and Owens to face off in one-on-one competition and in the end, it was Kevin Owens who came out on top following a Stunner.
The only other men’s qualifying match on SmackDown saw Jey Uso take on Daniel Bryan.
Uso was already conflicted heading into the match since Roman Reigns made it clear that his cousin had to make his choice to fall in line or leave the family.
Uso was seemingly focused on the match until Reigns made his way down to ringside. Uso was able to overcome a lot of punishment at the hands of the former World Champion, but it was two-superkicks and a splash that secured his place in the Survivor Series team.
