WWE SmackDown: Lacey Evans Qualifies For Money In The Bank, Tamina Sends a Message To The Champion

After weeks of issues between Sasha Banks and Lacey Evans, the two women once again met inside the ring and looked to settle their differences with qualification for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match on the line. Bayley was at ringside hoping to help her long-time friend, but in the end, it was the SmackDown Women’s Champion who became the difference-maker.

The feud between Evans and Banks has centered around the fact that Banks attempted to use Evans’ daughter as part of their rivalry because she considered it a weakness, while Evans has been able to use it as her strength in recent weeks.

The Boss targeted the right hand of The Sassy Southern Belle in the hopes that she would prevent her from delivering The Women’s Right, but mid-way through the match the game-changer almost ended the match when Evans hit The Women’s Right but Banks was able to make it close enough to the ropes that Bayley lifted her foot in time.

While Bayley was able to save the match for her best friend, she went on to cost her the match when she looked to step into the ring, but the referee was trying to send her back out and missed the fact that Banks had the match won. This distraction also allowed Evans to deliver another Women’s Right to win the match and qualify for Money in the Bank.

Following the match, Tamina set her sights on Bayley when the Number One Contender delivered a superkick to the Champion on the ramp.

The Women’s Championship match is yet to be announced for Money in the bank, but it is expected to be announced in the coming weeks since Tamina won the right to face Bayley last week when she was able to defeat Sasha Banks in one-on-one competition.
