WWE SmackDown Live Viewership Follows RAW’s Footsteps, Faces BIG Drop

April 24 episode of SmackDown Live witnessed a significant drop in viewership following Monday Night RAW’s footsteps. This week’s show of the blue brand which was headlined by a main event match featuring The Club vs. Rusev, Aiden English & Shinsuke Nakamura, faced tougher-than-usual competition due to the NBA playoffs, managed to draw an average of 2.549 million viewers, down 7% from last week’s average of 2.796 million viewers according to ShowBuzz Daily.

However, this week’s episode of SmackDown Live was up 3% from the same week last year and retained 82% of the previous night’s audience for Monday Night RAW. SmackDown Live finished #6 for the night in total viewers on cable and stood #3 in the 18-49 demographic, trailing two separate NBA games.

Noteworthy mention: The NBA Playoff game which was aired on TBS directly opposite SmackDown Live garnered 3.61 million viewers.
