WWE SmackDown: Matt Riddle’s SmackDown Debut Date Announced

Matt Riddle has been a driving force in NXT over the past few months and it was announced a few weeks ago by Kurt Angle that the former MMA star would be moving to SmackDown.

In the weeks that have followed, WWE has played videos introducing The Original Bro to the main roster audience, but he is yet to make an appearance in front of the live audience.

Finally this week, Riddle’s debut date was announced for next week’s episode of the show, which will be the fallout episode following this weekend’s Backlash event.

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently revealed that he turned down the opportunity to be Matt Riddle’s manager on SmackDown, which means that the former NXT star could have an interesting new look when he finally debuts on the blue brand next week.

Riddle has become one of the most talked-about stars in WWE following his issues with former Universal Champion Goldberg on Twitter.

Despite this, his recent promotion to the main roster could finally be the time for the star to make some noise and become one of the biggest stars on the brand in the absence of locker room leader Roman Reigns.
