Tribute to The Undertaker
Following the finale of “Undertaker: The Last Ride”, WWE has booked a special segment to honor The Deadman on the blue brand tonight.
As part of the special recognition, the historic WrestleMania 36 Boneyard Match between The Phenom and AJ Styles will air on TV for the first time.
Tonight, SmackDown will presumably bid farewell to the greatest legend in WWE history as the WWE Universe continues to share the heartfelt message: Thank you, Taker.
WWE Intercontinental Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs Drew Gulak
Last week, AJ Styles hosted a grand celebration for his first Intercontinental Title victory by inviting the entire SmackDown roster to the ring.
The overconfident, cocky Phenomenal One was soon confronted by the debuting Matt Riddle who scored a clean non-title victory over the 2-time WWE Champion.
Just in case the humiliating defeat wasn’t enough to spoil his celebration, Styles was booked for a title defense against Drew Gulak, the very man who had defeated him a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown.
So far, Styles has had Bryan’s number but he hasn’t been able to outsmart The American Dragon’s mentor.
Can Gulak score dethrone Styles and win his first singles title on the main roster? Or will The Phenomenal One do what he does best and retain his gold?
Sheamus Toasts Jeff Hardy
Sheamus’ victory over Jeff Hardy at Backlash gave us the assumption that their feud is essentially over…but wait! The two veterans aren’t quite done yet.
Tonight, The Fella has invited Hardy to join him in raising a toast to the legendary Charismatic Enigma.
Sheamus’ twisted celebration is actually in response to Hardy’s interview where the latter had promised to overcome his inner demons.
Will Hardy politely accept Sheamus’ invitation? Or will bad blood spill over once again?
