WWE SmackDown: Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler Win the Tag Team Championships

The Street Profits defended their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler this week on SmackDown, and interestingly, Roode and Ziggler were able to come out on top.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have held the Tag Team Championships since March last year and have fought off a number of challengers in that time.

Ford and Dawkins have even moved from Raw to SmackDown and swapped Championships with The New Day, but both teams have since lost their titles.

Roode and Ziggler were on top throughout the match as they alienated Ford from his tag team partner but ever the scrappy star, he found a way to keep his team in the match.

The end only came after The Showoff and Roode had already beat down Ford for several minutes and then delivered their unique Spinebuster into the ZigZag finisher to pick up the win.

After the match, the new Champions attacked The Street Profits once again, which proved that this feud is far from over.

Ziggler and Roode were definitely the sore winners following their Championship win, and now it’s likely that there will be a rematch between the two teams at the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
