Roman Reigns suffered repercussions on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.
On last Tuesday’s Superstar Shake-Up episode, SmackDown’s biggest acquisition, Reigns, superman-punched Vince McMahon in the middle of the ring after doing the same to Elias.
Shane McMahon kicked off this week’s show calling out Reigns while making it clear that it’s an order and not a request. Out came the former Universal Champion and both men had a brief staredown before Elias showed up and ambushed The Big Dog.
The numbers game proved to be too heavy for Roman as The Prodigal Son and The Drifter subjected him to a heavy beatdown.
Later during the show, Elias sang a song about Reigns, challenging him to a match at Money In The Bank on May 19. The Sinister Songsmith and Shane left in a limousine before The Guy could respond.
Reigns eventually accepted the challenge and will now face Elias at Money In The Bank next month.
It’s being speculated that Shane could be playing a role in the upcoming MITB match. Given another McMahon Family vs. top babyface feud is reportedly upon us, WWE could largely benefit from the storyline provided they book Reigns wisely.
For those still wondering, The Big Dog is the one-man army about to clash with the powerful McMahons.
