Ruby Riott made her first appearance since being drafted over to SmackDown this week as part of a triple threat qualifying match for Survivor Series.
Riott took on Zelina Vega and Natalya, who was part of last week’s triple threat match where Bianca Belair was able to become the first woman to qualify.
Riott showed off a new look with much shorter green hair and it appears that this was a good omen for the Riott Squad member since she was able to pick up the victory.
Natalya had Zelina Vega locked in the Sharpshooter but when Ruby Riott also locked in the armbar, Natalya knew that she would be a joint winner if Vega tapped.
The Queen of Harts then dropped the submission move and turned her attention to Riott, but in that split second, Vega tapped from the armbar, and Riott was announced as the winner.
It’s quite the blow for Natalya who has now lost two qualifying matches, but Riott is now the second woman to be officially added to the SmackDown Survivor Series team alongside Bianca Belair.
There are still three spots left in the team and two weeks of SmackDown ahead of Survivor Series in order for the participants to be decided.
