WWE SmackDown: Sami Zayn Unveils New Intercontinental Championship, The Undisputed Era Invade The Blue Brand

Sami Zayn made his way to the ring to presumably take on King Corbin after laying down the challenge backstage. Corbin obviously didn’t come out to accept the challenge, but Shinsuke Nakamura did follow Zayn to the ring where he was able to unveil the new Intercontinental Championship.

Zayn handed the title over to Nakamura and took back the white title which is now seemingly defunct. This later led to Zayn talking up Nakamura’s match at Survivor Series which brought out The Undisputed Era. Nakamura and Zayn exited the ring not wanting any part of Adam Cole and his team, but The New Day and Heavy Machinery were happy to come out and welcome the team to SmackDown.

An eight-man tag match then ensued while the IC Champion and his manager headed to the top of the ramp and decided to keep an eye on the match, scouting Roderick Strong ahead of their triple threat match on Sunday night. With their War Games match in less than 24 hours time, The Undisputed Era was out to send a message to the main roster, since they are still seen as the underdogs heading into their first Survivor Series.

The New Day takes on Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly this weekend in a triple threat match that also includes The Viking Raiders and they made sure they showed The Undisputed Era what they were getting into. Kofi Kingston and Big E put over the NXT team massively ahead of their match, but it was Tucker who took the pin after a running knee from Roderick Strong.

After the match, Strong headed up the ramp to Nakamura, and AJ Styles then attacked to start a brawl between the three stars who will be part of the triple threat match on Sunday night. Sami Zayn then attacked both Styles and Strong with a steel chair to end the segment.

Undisputed Era sent a clear message ahead of both WarGames and Survivor Series tonight on SmackDown which has put all three brands on notice.
