Over the past few weeks, Carmella has attacked Sasha Banks from behind and taken several cheap shots on the SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Last week, Banks finally responded to The Untouchable star and took the fight back to her in a backstage segment. This forced WWE to separate the two women on this week’s episode of the show when Carmella and The Boss took part in an interview.
Banks pointed out that Carmella wasn’t in her league and that’s the reason why the two women have never faced off one-on-one before Mella brought The Boss back down to earth.
The former Champion pointed out just how easily wrestling had come to her even though Banks had worked her whole career to be where she is.
She also noted that her SmackDown Women’s Championship reign is longer than all of Bank’s Raw Women’s title reigns combined, which seemed to hit a nerve.
Despite not having a match since her return, Carmella was then handed a SmackDown Women’s Championship match when Banks stated that if she wanted to come after the title, then she would put it on the line at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs in less than three weeks time.
This is the fourth match to be made official for the show after AJ Styles vs Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship, Randy Orton vs The Fiend, and Lana and Asuka vs Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
