WWE SmackDown: Sonya Deville Returns

Sonya Deville hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since SummerSlam when she was defeated in a Loser Leaves WWE match by Mandy Rose.

Deville left the company following the match and Rose has since moved on to a new tag team on Monday Night Raw. This has seemingly opened the door for Deville to make her return to the blue brand.

Six months after Deville walked away from WWE, she was spotted backstage on this week’s episode of the show walking with a purpose.

The commentary team announced that Sonya Deville had been reinstated on the SmackDown brand.

It’s unclear what the future holds for the former Tough Enough star since she was seen walking past the Women’s Division on SmackDown with the likes of Tamina and Billie Kay turning their heads as they became aware of her presence.

It was widely believed that Deville would make her return at the Royal Rumble later this month as one of the company’s surprise entrants in the Women’s match.

The early return obviously means that WWE has some big plans for the woman who was once destined to be 2020’s Breakout Star, and with Rose now on Raw, the path is clear for The Pride Fighter on SmackDown.
