WWE SmackDown: Tables Match Announced For The Horror Show at Extreme Rules

Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura have stepped up their game in the absence of Sami Zayn in recent weeks and tonight on SmackDown, The Swiss Superman was able to secure the win over Big E to win the change to choose the stipulation for their match on Sunday night at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.

Last week on SmackDown, the duo teased a tables match when they put Big E and Kingston through a table following their match, so it didn’t come as much of a surprise that it was a Tables match that was chosen for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Big E and Kofi Kingston are eight-time Tag Team Champions, even without Xavier Woods in their corner they are a formidable team and will definitely be hard to beat on Sunday night.

Interestingly, this wasn’t the original match that was planned for Extreme Rules.

A few weeks ago there was a feud between The Forgotten Sons and The New Day brewing, but comments on Social Media from Jaxson Ryker at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic meant that The Forgotten Sons were dropped.

Cesaro and Nakamura were drafted into their place on the card and now the two men have a shot at becoming Tag Team Champions for the first time as a unit this weekend.
