Nikki Cross failed to lift the SmackDown Women’s Championship in this week’s main event and the former NXT star took out her frustrations on her friend Alexa Bliss when she pushed her down and walked away.
Bliss was left alone in the ring when The Fiend appeared and was obviously looking to send a message to Braun Strowman after making it clear that he wants what The Monster Among Men has earlier in the show.
Strowman hasn’t been seen since The Wyatt Swamp Fight at Extreme Rules last month but Alexa Bliss was seen as part of the match.
Interestingly, Sister Abigail took Alexa Bliss’ form as a way to lure Strowman back home, which is why The Fiend has picked up on the fact that Little Miss Bliss could be Strowman’s biggest weakness.
The Fiend usually targets legends or stars who have something that he wants, Bliss is the first female wrestler to fall victim to The Mandible Claw and unlike many of his more brutal attacks, this one was slowed down and allowed Bliss to see exactly what was going to happen.
While Bliss looked as though she was trying to fight off the attack at the hands of Bray Wyatt’s alter-ego, the former Women’s Champion was obviously overcome with fear and had little chance of breaking a hold that many of the company’s biggest legends have fallen victim to.
At present, The Monster Among Men’s whereabouts are unknown and whether or not The Fiend has taken Alexa Bliss or just used her to send a very personal message is also unknown at this time.
This could be WWE’s way of bringing Strowman back to WWE TV and starting to build what is set to be a very personal showdown between The Fiend and Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.
