Just days after appearing on Stone Cold’s Broken Skull Sessions, The Big Red Machine Kane was a special guest on this week’s episode of SmackDown since he came out to talk about the upcoming Royal Rumble where he currently holds the record for the most eliminations from the match with 43 throughout his lengthy career.
It appears his bragging about taking away many stars’ dreams of a WrestleMania match garnered the attention of Bray Wyatt, who remembered that The Fiend had already had a run-in with Kane and looked to pick up where he left off. The issue here was that Kane was prepared and managed to get out of the ring before Daniel Bryan then attacked The Fiend instead.
This time it was the masked man who made a run for the exit as he disappeared through a hole in the ring and left Bryan holding a handful of his dreadlocks. Bryan was obviously annoyed but it allowed Team Hell No to have a mini-reunion as Kane thanked Bryan for coming to his aid.
Interestingly, Bryan then headed backstage and challenged The Fiend to a strap match at the Royal Rumble in just nine days’ time. Bryan is the first star to have The Fiend’s number and this newly added stipulation will mean that The Fiend will be forced to stay and fight Bryan no matter what.
John Morrison returned to a WWE ring for the first time in eight years when he stepped up to Big E this week on SmackDown. Even though Big E has an interesting singles career ahead of him he was no match for Morrison who pulled out Starship Pain to pick up a huge first victory to put him on the winning track as part of his first match back.
