WWE SmackDown to Air on FS1 Next Week, Will Open 2021 With First Show on New Year’s Day

WWE has confirmed that the next episode of SmackDown (December 18) will be airing on FS1 and not on FOX.

The schedule change is due to the fact that FOX is going to be to airing the college football Pac-12 Championship game during the time they usually air SmackDown.

The December 18 episode of SmackDown will air on FS1 at its usual time slot of 8PM ET. It will be followed by a new episode of Talking Smack.

It was also announced that FS1 will air a replay of SmackDown at 11 PM ET on the same day.

The December 18 episode of SmackDown will be the go-home show for the WWE TLC pay-per-view on December 20 and the last live SmackDown of 2021.

It was previously reported that SmackDown talent and crew are getting December 25 off, with the episode to be taped in advance.

Now, Post Wrestling is reporting that SmackDown will be kicking off WWE’s program lineup for 2021, airing the first show of the year with an episode on January 1, New Year’s Day.

The New Year’s Day episode of SmackDown will be a live one and will be airing from the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
