WWE SmackDown: Universal Championship Match Announced For Money In The Bank, Bray Wyatt Plays Mind Games With Braun Strowman

Money in the Bank is now just weeks away and is set to take place on May 10th with the location of the event still seemingly up in the air. Despite the fact that the future in WWE is looking slightly unclear, the company is pushing forward with their Money in the Bank qualifying matches and is also building up the bigger matches on the card.

While Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre look set to collide for the WWE Championship, SmackDown’s main Championship picture looks to be revolving around Braun Strowman and The Fiend Bray Wyatt. Of course, the two men have a history since it was Wyatt who initially brought The Monster Among Men to the WWE when he was added to The Wyatt Family.

With the recent release of Erick Rowan, Strowman and Wyatt are the only members of the family left in WWE and it appears that Wyatt could have some control over his former family member. The match between the two men for the Universal Championship was officially announced this week on SmackDown since Strowman was a guest on A Moment of Bliss.

While the segment was on-going and Strowman revealed his game plan for the match against The Fiend, there was a package waiting for the Champion on the side of the ring. When The Monster Among Men opened it, it was clear that it has come from The Fiend Bray Wyatt and that he was playing mind games. It was the mask that Strowman once wore when he answered to Bray and it could be a hint that he still has some form of control over his former family member.

Whenever Strowman and Bray have crossed paths in recent years it’s been made clear that Wyatt has some power over his former ally and this could be him further hinting that there’s more to the story here than meets the eye.
