It was earlier rumoured that WWE was seriously looking at Impact Wrestling’s top star, Eli Drake.

Drake’s contract with Impact Wrestling is scheduled to expire at the end of May, 2018 and it seems like WWE is still in hopes of signing the former Impact Global Champion.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s own Dave Meltzer was recently asked by a fan on Twitter if WWE was still interested in bringing in Eli Drake and Meltzer replied affirmatively.

Additionally, Drake himself recently opened up about his current status with Impact Wrestling in an interview with The Mirror and claimed that he likes to keep all options open and thanked Impact Wrestling for providing him with such an amazing opportunity on the big stage.
