Sonya Deville was so confident that she would be able to defeat her former friend Mandy Rose that she decided to turn her match with Rose into a career vs career match instead of a hair vs hair match.
Rose obviously accepted the match with the added stipulation that the loser would be forced to leave the company.
Rose and Deville were all business after making their entrances at SummerSlam and the match was every bit as personal as expected. While Deville was able to get a small amount of offense in, the match was mostly The Golden Goddess looking for revenge.
The finish of the match saw Rose deliver three knees to the face before hitting The Pride Fighter with her finisher and finishing off her former friend with a brutal knee to the face.
Following the pin, it was revealed that Deville would be forced to leave the company, as Rose celebrated with Otis.
Deville has made headlines this week after being part of a failed kidnapping attempt when a crazed fan looked to enter her property, but luckily the WWE star was able to escape with her friend before police stepped in to arrest the man in question.
It’s believed that Deville is somewhat shaken up from the situation and wants to take some time away from WWE as a result.
